this is my first time in taking part in the creatalicious challenge and the theme is christmas. my new stamp from the jolly snowy collection from magnolia just had to be used. he is called 'snoowie snowman with bells' from sir stampalot. the rest is from my stash. i have added snow to the bottom of snoowie and dabbed glitter for snowfall. it is finished off with a ribbon and charm. while i was making this card my son thought it was for him.... this made me laugh as my jacob is 21!!!!!! have a great week and happy crafting x

card number 2 is for the challenge on truly scrumptious and it is the sketch plus texture. the stamp is a forever friends called 'santa' from the glitter pot. for the texture i have used fun flock on the fur of the hat and jacket, the paper is from my stash and it already had the squiggly lines on so it was just perfect for the sketch. i have shrunk a sack of presents for the embellishment. i hope aarvin likes his 'first christmas' card. hi there i hope you are having a lovely monday, we had training day at school and i have to say i was pretty bored. why do they print out a pack for you to read and then proceed to do a power point presentation on it!!!!!!! any way the afternoon was better and i was able to sort out my time table with the french dept. well this card is a bit different as i made it but my friend chose all the elements. she likes very traditional cards and as she has ordered quite a few who am i to complain. the sketch is for the challenge on sunday sketch and stamp. the stamp is from clarity stamps and the rest is from my stash. a very simple card but she loves it. i do prefer cutie ones myself. happy crafting and thanks for dropping in x

well i didn't manage to get anything done yesterday but i have made up for it tonight. the first post is for the challenge set by marlene at the sugar bowl, which is the sketch plus the colour scheme of pink and brown. not a traditional colour for a christmas card i know but i think it has turned out really well. the stamp is a sugar nellie called 'honey's snowman' and the rest is from my goodies. i used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. sorry the picture is on the wonk but it was the only way to get the background to look the right colour,(all to do with lighting apparently!!!!) i will be back in a while with card number 2.

another card from me tonight and this time i have combined it for 2 challenges, the first is the sketch which is the challenge on a spoonfull of sugar and the colour scheme is the theme set on creative inspirations. i have used a combination of stamps, the witch, pumpkin, ghosts, bats and web are from penny black at the glitter pot called 'trick or treat' and the broomstick and sentement are from a set that i have had for ages. the papers are basic grey i have used a mixture of h20's and stardust pens to colour it all in. thankyou for all your kind wishes my head ache has finally gone so i am feeling much better. x

this card is very different than my usual style. the stamps are both from clarity stamps and i watched barbara on create and craft a few weeks ago and she was demonstrating these stamps and i remembered that i bought them at ally pally a while ago so i thought i would have a go. i used chalk eyes to stamp the images and then used a water brush to blend them in. then i sponged the background colours. i am quite pleased with the end result. the sketch is this weeks challenge on papertake weekly . the simplicity of the design works really well with these stamps. i hope you have had a good day and ta for taking a look at my blog x

good morning i hope you are all feeling bright and breezy today. i am very happy this morning, i went into school yesterday for year 11 results and i am so proud of my boys that i worked really hard with, they got great results and and are going on to do what they were hoping to do. so well done to them. i will miss them, i get quite attached to them and it takes me a while to readjust. my french department also got 91% passes so we are really pleased. well back to crafting, i am making the most of my last few days off so i hope to get quite a bit done. the first card today is for the challenge on sketch saturday, and once again i am christmas carding it.the stamp is a penny black from the t for transparency set 'holly jolly'. the colours are some of my favourites. the rest of the card is made up from my stash of goodies. ta for dropping by x

another card completed hurrah for me! again i am combining challenges, the first is for just magnolia which is distressing and i hope what i have done fits the challenge, i have ripped the paper used for layering the image and i have "shabbied" the ticket sentiment. the next is the sketch on sketch saturday set by sandra dry. the stamps are called 'jungle edwin' and 'tilda and edwin tours' from sir stampalot. i stamped edwin and then masked him out then stamped the jeep. the ticket is from a set from the hobby house. i am going to hit the sack now as i am starting to wilt. see you soon x

a really big hello to you all. the last few weeks have really been stressful, the death of phil's dad has hit us all very badly. the funeral is on friday which will be over 2 weeks since it happened there have been some complications with the cause of death but we have the go-ahead now so after this week hopefully we can get back to some sort of normality!! i am sorry if i haven't visited your blogs, my list of followers has dissapeared but i will try to catch up with you all asap. this card is for a friend who reaches the big 60 this week and i have used the sketch set on the sketch and stash challenge the new stash is the forever friends stamp called 'champagne celebration' along with the papers, the old stash are the flowers and the h20's. this weeks challenge on the craft challenge is pink and green and i am really pleased with the result. thanks for popping in i appreciate it so much. x

card # 2 is for the challenge on crafts 4 eternity the stamps are from a set called 'sushi bowl' ( i think but i can't remember who makes them!!) i stamped the bowl onto the blue bubble paper, then stamped and cut the fish etc. i then decided i wanted to make it look like glass so i used a double sided sticky sheet and added acitate which again i stamped the bowl onto.phew i hope that makes sense!! off to bed now night night x

hi everyone i hope you are all feeling fit and healthy. i have been examed out again and really can't wait for the 6 weeks hols and just not having to get up and get out by 7.30 will be great. there is a lot going on at school before the break so it is busy all round, makes the weeks go quicker though!!!!!! this card i have combined for 2 challenges, the first is the sketch which has been set for the stampavie and more challenge and it is very versatile and i enjoyed using it a lot, the 2nd is the challenge on colour create which is the colours of the rainbow, and i have tried to use all the colours and the song has been buzzing around in my head all day!!! i have used a sugar nellie stamp called 'postbox'. i have put a piece of blue card through my big shot in a cuttlebug embossing folder, shrunk the postage stamp sentiment and used paper and flowers from my stash of goodies. have a good week and thanks for stooping by x

my poor kids had their french exam today and blimey was it hard!!!!!! if they say that gcse's have got easier this year they are very, very wrong, lets hope that they all did well. i love and hate this time of year at school all the yr 11's that i have been with since they came up to senior school leave and i really miss them. most keep in touch though so i will know what they are getting up to. i am combining this card with 3 challenges. the first is the colour scheme set on the secret crafter(pink, turquoise and hint of brown)penny black(sketch) and allsorts challenge(curly swirly). the stamp is from a t for transparent set called 'critter party' from the glitter pot, i think the paper is very pretty and has just the right shades for the colour scheme, the flowers and ribbon are from my stash. i stamped the sentiment onto shrink plastic and it has shrunk brilliantly. a quick and simple card for this challenge on just magnolia which this week has to feature an animal or an insect. the boy stamp is called 'edwin on pencil' and the dog is called 'edwins dog' from sir stampalot, but i cut off the pencil as i wanted him sitting on the steps. not sure where the alphabet paper is from it has been in my box of 'stuff' for ages. i do hope the bbq is ready soon i am starving made a decision today that i am going back to 'fat club' summer bits just a tad tooooooo tight!!!! happy days good job i like a salad. enjoy x

i have a few weddings coming up so i thought i would get a head start. one of the colour schemes is ivory and brown so this is the card i have made for that one. the card is for the cupcake craft challenge which this week has to have 2 colours,(brown and ivory) 2 shapes(circles and oblong card stock) and 2 pieces of ribbon(brown and ivory) to celebrate erin's daughters 2nd birthday. it also fits with the challenge on a spoonfull of sugar which has to feature lace. the layout is also for the sketch on sketch and stash , i know i have already made a card for this but i got carried away!!!!! the stamp is a magnolia from sir stampalot called 'love cake' and it is new,the adhesive stones i had forgotten about and the flowers and paper i have had for ages. phew i think that is all for this one. takes longer to post than it does to make the card!!!!!!!!lol x

i have not had a very good day!!!! my daughter rang early this morning because sophie has been unwell with a very sore mouth. we thought she was just teething but her gums had swollen up and she had big ulcers too. kieley had made an appt at the dentist and asked if i could go with her. sophie has a really bad viral infection and bless her heart she is a poorly girl. lets hope the medicine soon kicks in, and she is back to her adorable little self. then to top off a miserable day man utd lost. so i made a card no better cure to make you feel better. the card is for the penny black challenge which this week is buttons galore. the stamp is called gift wrap and i have used the buttons as balloons coming out of the parcel. off to bed now nighty night x

finally managed to get another card finished, third time lucky, just couldn't get it right. the challenge on the sugar bowl this week is a sketch by kathy with the addition of pearls. i used a red pearl like bead on a hat pin, i hope this counts!!!!!! the stamp is a gorjuss girl called ' little miss attitude' from funky kits everything else is from my goodies. i think it time for bed now. at least i have the week off so you never know i might get all my challenges done this week!!!! lol x

at last a card!!!!! i didn't get anything done yesterday as i had george and sophie for the day and by the time i got home i was knackered!!!!!!!!!!! today i have done some gardening (hate it) but it really doesn't look much different and the plants i put into the pots i am sure will get dug up by lily. any way the first card is made, i am giving this to my friend for her birthday and it is for the challenge set on stampavie and more which this week is a sketch. the stamp is a penny black called 'garden slumber' from the glitter pot everything else is from my stash. hope your weekend is as bright as the weather is x

i recieved my prize from heidi at friday sketchers today and i just want to say a huge thank you. there were 2 packs of flowers a tilda stamp (which i don't have ) and her card for that challenge. it is a really lovely gift and i am over the moon with it. it has made a fairly miserable week 100% better.... x
