a spoonfull of sugar challenge # 51 (buttons galore)

finally i can get crafting, the kids were here all day saturday and sunday...... told you they wouldn't go home!!!!!!!i did make these two cards last night though but by the time they were done i was shattterd and went to bed, so i am doing them now. the first card is for the challenge on a spoonfull of sugar and the theme is buttons. this cute little cowboy is from rubberneckers and i got it at ally pally everything else is from my stash. hope your week has satrted well x

sketch and stash # 10 & cupcake craft challenge # 39

good morning peeps i hope you have a great weekend, the dog got me up early this morning so i finished this card before the grand children arrive. once again i have combined two challenges, the first is the sketch set on sketch and stash, my newest stash is the house mouse stamp called 'pocket fuzz' from cardcraft uk the papers and alphabet beads are from my goodies. the second challenge is for cupcake craft challenge and theme is a card for a man or a boy. i hope this fits the bill. might be back later, depends when they go home or more likely if they go home!!!!!!!!! x

whooooooooo!!!!!!

i got a text message today from my friend lou telling me i had won a prize on the friday sketchers challenge blog and it was such a lovely surprise. none of my work colleagues could quite understand my excitement though, at least i know that you all will!!! hopefully tonight i will get some crafting done and tomorrow i should be on my own all day so here's hoping to a productive weekend. (after the man utd game of course, early kick off so should be alright!!!!!) xxxx

sketch saturday # 50 & secret crafter # 31

at last i can get onto the computer, i have been getting in from work quite late and yesterday i went to see my friends new twin boys and it was really hard to leave them because they are so gorgeous. these cards i am posting were made at the beginning of the week so here goes with the first of 3!!!!

i have made this card for my friend's son and it is the sketch over on the sketch saturday challenge and the one on secret crafter which is brads or eyelets. the stamp is from a set again that i have had for ages, papers are basic grey and the brads and eyelets are from my stash. x

stamp something (pink birthday somethings)

today has been a really trying one, the exams were really tedious and every 5 mins seemed like an hour... poor kids they must dread them. this card is for the challenge on stamp something, one of their designers(melissa) is leaving and her favourite colour is pink so this is in honour of her. i went for a simple effect this time, the stamp is an old favourite and the papers and rest are from my stash. hope you are having a good week. x

just magnolia week # 4 (in stitches)

this card has taken me ages!!!!!!but i am really pleased with the outcome so it was worth all the changes. the challenge on the just magnolia blog this week is 'in stitches' so i thought i would get my sewing machine out........ not a good idea as it seems to be throwing a strop and would not do as i wanted, so back i went to fake stitches. the stamps are both from the sir stampalot called 'tilda with lace skirt' and cuddley horse, and are coloured in with h20's, sakura stardust and gel pens. everything else i have had in my stash for ages. well off to bed now exam season starts tomorrow with avengeance.... don't you just love gcse's. note the sarcasm!!!!!!lol x night night

friday sketchers # 51

my final one for tonight is for the friday sketchers challenge and boy did i struggle with this one!!!! i didn't want to do just flowers as embellies, but i couldn't find anything the right colour!so i had to make do with a bow and some glass lily beads. not really sure if i like how it has turned out, the papers are meant to be a bit blurry but they look worse in the photo. the stamp is one i found in my stamp collection and the papers are from way back when i first started so at least i am using up some things i had forgotten about. thanks for dropping in see you later x

the sugar bowl challenge10

well once again i am having a late one. the trouble i have had getting these cards finished and photographed!!!!! my first card is for the sugar bowl challenge which is a sketch and you had to include buttons. i was able to use one of my gorjuss girls from sugar nellie called 'just a girl',the paper and embellishments are from my stash of goodies. the buttons are very small i know but they fit nicely. x

crafts4eternity challenge # 30 and cupcake craft challenge

this is my last card for today and again i have doubled up on a challenge, the sketch is this weeks on crafts4eternity with the addition of the card being for a child, and on the cupcake craft challenge is numbers. the paper hasn't photographed very well but it does have numbers on and the stamp is from one of the new penny black clear stamp set from the glitter pot called 'dino party', the rest is from my stash of goodies. i am off to bed now starting to wilt. enjoy your weekend xx

creative inspirations, a spoonful of sugar and creative card crew

another card that i have combined but this time with three challenges, i didn't set out to do it but the card fell into the three catagories. it is the first time for me doing the creative inspirations challenge and the sketch is a lovely one to use, for a spoonful of sugar the theme this week is touchy feely so the A.B.C blocks cover that (i think) and the embossing through the middle covers the creative card crew challenge which this week is emboss. (this also can be used for the spoonful of sugar challenge). the stamp is from funky kits 'homegrown' range called bedtime stories. everything else is from my stash.

sunday sketch and stamp #1 and cute card thursday challenge # 59

one card two challenges for this posting, i have been so busy that i have had to combine a couple of cards, don't really like doing this but needs must!!!! the card is for the first ever challenge on sunday sketch and stash and the sketch was a lovely one to follow. the other challenge is for cute card thursday which this weeks theme is 'happy mail' the stamps are from magnolia and are called 'kissing edwin' and 'shy tilda' both from sir stampalot the paper is a basic grey and i used a cuttlebug embossing die to do the flowers down the side. i thought it would be a good card to send someone a kiss in a card!!!! ahhhhh.

truly scrumptious challenge # 6

oh i am so happy, manchester united were awesome last night and it was so good to be there (even though i was in the arsenal end and came out alive!!!!) then chelsea lost tonight oh so good.

colour create week 14 (red, cream and chocolate)

well another late night for me, but i have managed to get this card finished. the colour scheme on the colour create challenge this week is a mouth watering red, cream and chocolate makes you dribble just thinking about it!!!!! i have used a tilda stamp from sir stampalot called tilda baking, the gingham paper is from craft creations not sure about the brown one. ribbon, card stock and brads from my stash. now i am off to count some zzzzzzz's xx

penny black # 47 shapes

today was very busy, we had planned a bbq........... oh don't you just love the english weather. have you ever tried cooking bbq food indoors and getting the same results? answer DON'T!!!!!!

my poor hub still hasn't used his new bbq that i bought him last year. at least we got something to eat... NOW for the more important stuff.... this card is for the penny black challenge which this week is 'shapes' x 3. you had to use 3 different shapes not including the backing paper or card. i hope i have achieved this by using heart shape brads, flowers, and the square with the flowers on. the stamp is from the glitter pot called hot but cool, everything else is from my stash. back to work tomorrow and more french orals, then all other gcse's start next week busy, busy, busy. hope you have a great week.
