"love birds"

an anniversary card for a change and it will probably go to my in-laws. the sketch is for this weeks sketch saturday challenge. i really don't know where i got the stamp or who it is from. i think it is quite cute and by coincidence i found some paper with the same sort of birds on it. thanks for dropping by, i hope it's not too cold where you are. x

card number 2 from me today, i got this stamp from dimensions fourth and thought it would look good just in monochrome. i stamped the image twice and then (sort of) decopaged it. the sketch is from the friday sketchers challenge. i liked doing this one simple but chic. x

after yet another stressful day at school, what a better way to unwind than with a lovely mug of strong coffee and making cards!( can't see straight if i go for the vodka!!!!!) the stamp is from cuddly buddly called charley with sal, the challenge for cute card thursday had to include an animal so i thought they would be well at home there. x

what a week!!!!!! school has been crazy, our computer system is down with a virus so it has been back to the old style of teaching and sadly the kids have not taken to it very well>>> what did we do before computers? so just to unwind i made a card which i am posting on the magnolia vs stampavie challenge. i love the magnolia stamps i think they are just adorable, and i thought i would use my eclipse tape (which i have had for ages) to have tilda sitting on a table. i like the image i hope you do too. thanks for dropping by xx

"21"

this year seems to be when quite a few people have special birthdays in our family. i have four that reach "21" and this card is for the first of them. my faithful edwin stamp is once again dressed in west ham colours, as my most of my family are ardent "hammers fans" the old claret and blue is used once again!! the lay out of the card is a challenge from sketch saturday. keep on crafting (why do i have to work? it would so much easier to make cards all day) x

spring is sprung.

slowly but surely i am getting back into the swing with my card making. this stamp is so pretty and just cheers me up to know that the lighter nights are on their way and hopefully better weather. the stamp is one of my lovely birthday pressies i recieved from a very thoughtful friend. she is a sugar nellie stamp called spring is sprung. the theme for the cute card thursday challenge is signs of spring so i thought the lamb and the lively colour scheme would be ideal. thanks for stopping by x

half a century!!!

this year is the 'big ' one for both my husband and i. his birthday is on wednesday and mine is on friday. i must say i have spent the last few months dreading this one but now it is almost here i am looking forward to it more and more. the stamp is from funkykits and it is part of the homegrown range the lion is called rory. i hope you like him just as much as i do. thanks for dropping by.

its good to be back....

hello every one i am back to blogging, i have just been so busy (doing nothing really) and ill since christmas but need to get back to crafting for my sanity!!

the big 40

i made this card a while ago but have posted it on the pollycraft monday challenge. i like the camper van (i think it is from dimensionfourth) and thought that it would make an ideal 40th birthday card. the papers are a bit retro too so i think it fits in with the '60s' thanks for popping in x

naughty or nice?

well i am almost there with my christmas cards just a couple of special ones and then i can relax. this card i am putting into this weeks 'penny black' challenge the name of the stamp is naughty or nice and it is a really lovely stamp, the dog is a real chekky chap and the poor snowman looks really put out! my dog lily would do that she is a real character, gets away with any thing!!! i hope you like my card and thanks for dropping by at this really busy time of year. x

the sketch for the cutie sunday challenge was a really lovely one to do, and i will use the idea again. the stamp is from 'funky kits' and is one of their home grown range. i think this santa stamp is a real cutie.. i am up late tonight i wanted to get some cards ready as i am doing a craft fair at my school an friday, only problem is i like them so much i don't want to part with them!!

this weeks 'penny black' challenge is no patterned paper, this card is so pretty and easy to make and the hedgehogs are just so cute. i love christmas and our house looks very festive, makes these really cold days and nights a bit more cozy. i hope you like my card thanks for dropping by.

traditional Christmas..

I really don't know where the last few weeks have gone!!!! i have finally got some time to myself and making cards again. i have so many Christmas cards to make and this is just the start. I have put this one onto the friday sketchers challenge. My friend asked for a traditional Christmas card well this is about as traditional i could get. the stamp is from 'penny black' and i love the blue colour scheme.
