just magnolia week # 4 (in stitches)

this card has taken me ages!!!!!!but i am really pleased with the outcome so it was worth all the changes. the challenge on the just magnolia blog this week is 'in stitches' so i thought i would get my sewing machine out........ not a good idea as it seems to be throwing a strop and would not do as i wanted, so back i went to fake stitches. the stamps are both from the sir stampalot called 'tilda with lace skirt' and cuddley horse, and are coloured in with h20's, sakura stardust and gel pens. everything else i have had in my stash for ages. well off to bed now exam season starts tomorrow with avengeance.... don't you just love gcse's. note the sarcasm!!!!!!lol x night night

friday sketchers # 51

my final one for tonight is for the friday sketchers challenge and boy did i struggle with this one!!!! i didn't want to do just flowers as embellies, but i couldn't find anything the right colour!so i had to make do with a bow and some glass lily beads. not really sure if i like how it has turned out, the papers are meant to be a bit blurry but they look worse in the photo. the stamp is one i found in my stamp collection and the papers are from way back when i first started so at least i am using up some things i had forgotten about. thanks for dropping in see you later x

the sugar bowl challenge10

well once again i am having a late one. the trouble i have had getting these cards finished and photographed!!!!! my first card is for the sugar bowl challenge which is a sketch and you had to include buttons. i was able to use one of my gorjuss girls from sugar nellie called 'just a girl',the paper and embellishments are from my stash of goodies. the buttons are very small i know but they fit nicely. x

crafts4eternity challenge # 30 and cupcake craft challenge

this is my last card for today and again i have doubled up on a challenge, the sketch is this weeks on crafts4eternity with the addition of the card being for a child, and on the cupcake craft challenge is numbers. the paper hasn't photographed very well but it does have numbers on and the stamp is from one of the new penny black clear stamp set from the glitter pot called 'dino party', the rest is from my stash of goodies. i am off to bed now starting to wilt. enjoy your weekend xx

creative inspirations, a spoonful of sugar and creative card crew

another card that i have combined but this time with three challenges, i didn't set out to do it but the card fell into the three catagories. it is the first time for me doing the creative inspirations challenge and the sketch is a lovely one to use, for a spoonful of sugar the theme this week is touchy feely so the A.B.C blocks cover that (i think) and the embossing through the middle covers the creative card crew challenge which this week is emboss. (this also can be used for the spoonful of sugar challenge). the stamp is from funky kits 'homegrown' range called bedtime stories. everything else is from my stash.

sunday sketch and stamp #1 and cute card thursday challenge # 59

one card two challenges for this posting, i have been so busy that i have had to combine a couple of cards, don't really like doing this but needs must!!!! the card is for the first ever challenge on sunday sketch and stash and the sketch was a lovely one to follow. the other challenge is for cute card thursday which this weeks theme is 'happy mail' the stamps are from magnolia and are called 'kissing edwin' and 'shy tilda' both from sir stampalot the paper is a basic grey and i used a cuttlebug embossing die to do the flowers down the side. i thought it would be a good card to send someone a kiss in a card!!!! ahhhhh.

truly scrumptious challenge # 6

oh i am so happy, manchester united were awesome last night and it was so good to be there (even though i was in the arsenal end and came out alive!!!!) then chelsea lost tonight oh so good.

colour create week 14 (red, cream and chocolate)

well another late night for me, but i have managed to get this card finished. the colour scheme on the colour create challenge this week is a mouth watering red, cream and chocolate makes you dribble just thinking about it!!!!! i have used a tilda stamp from sir stampalot called tilda baking, the gingham paper is from craft creations not sure about the brown one. ribbon, card stock and brads from my stash. now i am off to count some zzzzzzz's xx

penny black # 47 shapes

today was very busy, we had planned a bbq........... oh don't you just love the english weather. have you ever tried cooking bbq food indoors and getting the same results? answer DON'T!!!!!!

my poor hub still hasn't used his new bbq that i bought him last year. at least we got something to eat... NOW for the more important stuff.... this card is for the penny black challenge which this week is 'shapes' x 3. you had to use 3 different shapes not including the backing paper or card. i hope i have achieved this by using heart shape brads, flowers, and the square with the flowers on. the stamp is from the glitter pot called hot but cool, everything else is from my stash. back to work tomorrow and more french orals, then all other gcse's start next week busy, busy, busy. hope you have a great week.

just magnolia week #3

well sunday is nearly over and i have really not got much done, we have the 2 older grandchildren staying tonight so we took them out to dinner and now they are both in bed so i can get crafty!!!!!! this card is for the just magnolia challenge which is a sketch and as i love magnolia's i enjoyed this challenge a lot. the stamp is tilda with ladybug from sir stampalot, the paper and card stock are from my stash. i used a sizzix die to do the swirl and with a heart punch made the flowers, my nesties came in handy again to cut the oval. i can't believe it's 10.00 i really must get quicker!!!!!!!

one card, two challenges..creative card crew challenge #8 & cute card thursday challenge # 58

i was so excited today when the postman delivered my new stamps. they are a new range from charmed delectable stamps from charmed cards and craft this cutie is called annie and ted and i think they are adorable. i have combined this card with 2 challenges, the first is a sketch from the creative card crew and it is the first time i have played along on this blog, the second is the challenge on cute card thursday which this weeks theme is mirror, mirror, (use something shiny) so for this i have added gems to the flowers and on the buttons on annie's cardigan. i do hope you like her, x

stampavie and more challenge # 41

i have actually finished a card today, we have been looking after george and sophie all day and i am unwinding now by making cards (is there any other way to spend a saturday night?)this card is from the sketch set on the stampavie and more challenge. i didn't start out to make a little girl card but i made a few mistakes with the image so i ended up cutting her out. the stamp is a sarah kay called mummy loves you bought from the glitter pot, everything else is from my stash of goodies. have a fab weekend, i hope you get lots of crafting done. x

at last i have been able to get crafty!!!!! i have had the day off today so i caught up with my ironing, which took up most of my day. so tonight i started making this card i was constantly disturbed........ but it is finally completed. this is the sketch set on the sketch and stash challenge. the gorjuss girl stamp is my new stash, the paper i have had for a while and the neglected bit of stash is the square bead on her dress and the dimensional paint on her head band. thanks for dropping in, and have a great bank holiday weekened. x

friday sketchers # 49

i am posting this card now because there is football on tonight and i know i won't be able to get anything done. manchester united are playing arsenal in the first round of the champions league semi final, the second leg is next week and i am going to the arsenal stadium to watch it but i am in with the arsenal supporters so i have to keep quiet!!!!(my friend got tickets and she is an arsenal fan!!! i so hope we win.enough of that and onto the crafting! this card is for friday sketchers and i have made it for my friends husbands birthday. the stamp is from clevercut and is called a spot of gardening. the paper is from craft creations everything else is from my stash of goodies.

the sugar bowl challenge 9

the theme on the sugar bowl challenge this week is 'MEN'. i seem to have so many birthdays coming up that this is getting me prepared. the stamp is a sugar nellie called rock star and i bought it at ally pally. i stamped the music notes onto orange card, cut them out and put diamond glaze on them along with the shake, rattle and roll sentiment. 2 orange brads finish the whole thing off. x

where is this week going? it was a really busy weekend and even busier at work i just haven't had time to get much done. i am really tired as well, exams are exhausting, i am revising with year 11's for their french orals so my poor old brain is taking a battering!!!!!! anyway enough of my ranting this is my first card for today and it is my take on the sketch from stampavie and more. i love all of the sarah kay stamps this one is called precious moments from the glitter pot, the papers, ribbon and brad is from my stash. i have used my nesties for the shapes. i will be back soon with number 2 card. x

penny black week 45 a sketch

last one from me tonight i am going to bed (early for me!!!). this weeks penny black challenge is a sketch from nat. the hedgie stamp is a real sweetie and as you all know he is one of my faves, this one is called bug post and i bought him at ally pally. the papers are from my stash of goodies, the happy birthday sentiment has been stamped inside the postage stamp from stamp addicts onto shrink plastic and then heated til it has SHRUNK. this amazes me everytime. thanks for dropping in see you tomorrow xx

colour create week 12 (black, white and pink)

another day at the mad house over!!!!! i found out today we have next friday off as well as bank holiday monday so i am sooooooo looking forward to that, all in all it has turned out to be a very good day,(manchester united won and we are back at the top of the league) happy days.

my first card tonight is for the colour create challenge which this week's colours are black, white and pink. i made a card similar to this for my sister in law's birthday last year and i think this stamp looks great stamped and embossed in black with only the flesh coloured in. the stamp is from dimension fourth, the paper and ribbon are from my stash. the hat pin i bought from sugar and spice and i added the beads. i hope the pink shows up ok on the picture.
