this is probably my only post today i am going to babysit george and sophie in a little while so i thought i would get this posted before i go. the card is for this weeks challenge on the friday sketchers and i have struggled with this one, although i am quite pleased with it. the stamp is from a penny black t for transparent set called 'critter party' from the glitter pot the paper and embellishments are from the amy butler lotus faded china paper collection from k & co at charmed cards & craft, hope your saturday has been a lovely one x
blimey i have done well today mind you not much else has got done!!!! i am pleased though as i have caught up with all of the challenges that i wanted to do. this one is for the stampavie and more challenge and this week is a colour scheme of yellow and black. i am trying to get a collection of boys cards done as i prefer cute and girly. this stamp is called 'yo-yo' from elzybells art stamps the papers are from my stash and the yellow i embossed with one of my cuttlebug folders. i think i might just call it a day now. see you tomorrow x
i have a few weddings coming up so i thought i would get a head start. one of the colour schemes is ivory and brown so this is the card i have made for that one. the card is for the cupcake craft challenge which this week has to have 2 colours,(brown and ivory) 2 shapes(circles and oblong card stock) and 2 pieces of ribbon(brown and ivory) to celebrate erin's daughters 2nd birthday. it also fits with the challenge on a spoonfull of sugar which has to feature lace. the layout is also for the sketch on sketch and stash , i know i have already made a card for this but i got carried away!!!!! the stamp is a magnolia from sir stampalot called 'love cake' and it is new,the adhesive stones i had forgotten about and the flowers and paper i have had for ages. phew i think that is all for this one. takes longer to post than it does to make the card!!!!!!!!lol x
i have had fun today i have managed to get a few things done and have a play with my new toy. this card is for the sketch and stash challenge and i made it with my grandson george's 4th birthday in mind. the stamp is a new one that i got from elzybells art stamps and he is called 'george' the papers are from basic grey, the name and number 4 are cut from cricut which i have used for the first time and i am so pleased with it, my neglected stash are the brads i forgot i had them. everything else is from my goodies. i hope you are having a great day and lets hope the weather stays nice for the weekend, bbq?????? i hope so. thanks for popping in x
another card that i have combined on two challenges, the first challeng is the sunday sketch and stamp for the sketch which has been set by sem and the other is for colour create which this week has the fab colour scheme of lemon, pink sorbet and chocolate. i have used the stamp from stamp addicts called 'annabel' the paper is from basic grey and to add a bit of sparkle i have put pale lemon gems in the centre of some of the flowers. oh well back to the crafting i am going to try out my new cricut machine today so watch this space (fingers crossed ) x
i am going to craft all day today.......( i hope!!!!) i managed to get this card finished last night after a day of interuptions. this card is for 2 challenges the first is crafts 4 eternity which is the sketch, and the other is the fortnightly challenge on creative inspirations whose theme is favourite stamp. the stamp is a charmed delectable called 'annie sitting pretty' and she is a real gem and so cute, and you can buy them at charmed cards and crafts the paper is from basic grey and i also used the new whitewash range of card from core'dinations from artbase and it is great because you can emboss, sand or distress it and the darker background colour comes through. thanks for dropping by x
i have not had a very good day!!!! my daughter rang early this morning because sophie has been unwell with a very sore mouth. we thought she was just teething but her gums had swollen up and she had big ulcers too. kieley had made an appt at the dentist and asked if i could go with her. sophie has a really bad viral infection and bless her heart she is a poorly girl. lets hope the medicine soon kicks in, and she is back to her adorable little self. then to top off a miserable day man utd lost. so i made a card no better cure to make you feel better. the card is for the penny black challenge which this week is buttons galore. the stamp is called gift wrap and i have used the buttons as balloons coming out of the parcel. off to bed now nighty night x
i can't believe i am still awake after only getting 4 hours sleep on sunday night, he better not start snoring tonight or i just might be blogging from a prison cell!!!!!!! lol. well at least i got a few cards made. this one is for the friday sketchers and this week has been set by heidi. the stamps are all magnolia's from sir stampalot except for tilda who was given to me by heidi as a prize a couple of weeks ago. she is called valentine tilda and i think she is for always not just for valentine. (i am tired now i am babbleing!)the papers are basic grey and the hearts i have had for ages. thats me for now, going to brighton later with some friends have a lovely day x
look at me i am on a roll!!!!! i am going for the record on how many cards i can get done in one day. the theme this week on the cute card thursday challenge is a sporting one, and as i looooove football i just had to do a footie theme. everyone expected me to do a red, black and white one for manchester united so i thought i would be different and do a blue and white one. (needed a card for one the boys at school anyway). the stamp is a magnolia from the sir stampalot called 'sporty edwin'. thanks for looking i am going to get another card started now whoooooo x
the secret crafter challenge this week is also new beginnings!!! its a good job i was asked to make a big sister card too. once again the stamp is a sugar nellie from the maggie and hamish range at funky kits called 'big sister' and just like hamish, maggie makes a cute big sis. i have had a great day and have managed to get a lot done. x
a new blog started last thursdaycalled c.r.a.f.t challenge and the first challenge is new beginnings. for this theme i have chosen to do a big brother card, another request from a friend. the stamp is called a sugar nellie stamp from the maggie and hamish range called 'big brother' from funky kits and i do think hamish makes a cute big brother. thanks for dropping in x
i had a really early morning so i made a card!!!! is it only my husband that snores even on his side????? this one is for the challenge on stamp something which is a sketch set by emily. this card is for my son in law either from me or my son. dave joined the police just over 3 years ago and as yet i have not made him a card with anything policey on it but this stamp from cuddly buddly fits the bill (get it)!!!!!! the papers are from basic grey. going to starbucks for a coffee(yummmm) soon then shopping at sainsburys (aghhhhhhh). have a lovely day, shame about the weather. thanks for dropping by x
finally managed to get another card finished, third time lucky, just couldn't get it right. the challenge on the sugar bowl this week is a sketch by kathy with the addition of pearls. i used a red pearl like bead on a hat pin, i hope this counts!!!!!! the stamp is a gorjuss girl called ' little miss attitude' from funky kits everything else is from my goodies. i think it time for bed now. at least i have the week off so you never know i might get all my challenges done this week!!!! lol x
at last a card!!!!! i didn't get anything done yesterday as i had george and sophie for the day and by the time i got home i was knackered!!!!!!!!!!! today i have done some gardening (hate it) but it really doesn't look much different and the plants i put into the pots i am sure will get dug up by lily. any way the first card is made, i am giving this to my friend for her birthday and it is for the challenge set on stampavie and more which this week is a sketch. the stamp is a penny black called 'garden slumber' from the glitter pot everything else is from my stash. hope your weekend is as bright as the weather is x
i recieved my prize from heidi at friday sketchers today and i just want to say a huge thank you. there were 2 packs of flowers a tilda stamp (which i don't have ) and her card for that challenge. it is a really lovely gift and i am over the moon with it. it has made a fairly miserable week 100% better.... x
i thought it was too good to be true!!!!! just as i got started on my cards my daughter rang and asked me to take her to tesco's, and i ended up staying there until 8.30....... not managed to get much done. i started this card last night so at least i have got it finished. the challenge this week on just magnolia is a sketch. the stamp is tilda in the sea, the lighthouses and sandcastle are magnolias all from the glitterpot. the lighthouses and sandcastle have been stamped onto shrink plastic and then shrunk. everything else is from my stash. hope you have had a good day x
i am off work today, i had a hospital appointment and i was seen really quickly!!!(very unusual for the NHS) so i thought i would make the most of my time and do some cards. this card is for my friend whose son has been travelling in south america for a year so she thought it would be good to do a welcome home card and these are his favourite colours too. this is a bit different for me as i do love my pattern papers but i managed to get a little bit in!!! the card is for the challenge on cute card thursday, which this week is letters and numbers. the stamp i have used is from elzybells art stamps the paper used on the son wording is from basic grey, the alphabet stamp is from dimensions fourth. i have added diamond glaze to the letters. oh i do prattle on. should be back later with a lot less to say!!!!!!! lol

finally i can get crafting, the kids were here all day saturday and sunday...... told you they wouldn't go home!!!!!!!i did make these two cards last night though but by the time they were done i was shattterd and went to bed, so i am doing them now. the first card is for the challenge on a spoonfull of sugar and the theme is buttons. this cute little cowboy is from rubberneckers and i got it at ally pally everything else is from my stash. hope your week has satrted well x
good morning peeps i hope you have a great weekend, the dog got me up early this morning so i finished this card before the grand children arrive. once again i have combined two challenges, the first is the sketch set on sketch and stash, my newest stash is the house mouse stamp called 'pocket fuzz' from cardcraft uk the papers and alphabet beads are from my goodies. the second challenge is for cupcake craft challenge and theme is a card for a man or a boy. i hope this fits the bill. might be back later, depends when they go home or more likely if they go home!!!!!!!!! x
