the sugar bowl # 19 (plus pink and brown)

well i didn't manage to get anything done yesterday but i have made up for it tonight. the first post is for the challenge set by marlene at the sugar bowl, which is the sketch plus the colour scheme of pink and brown. not a traditional colour for a christmas card i know but i think it has turned out really well. the stamp is a sugar nellie called 'honey's snowman' and the rest is from my goodies. i used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. sorry the picture is on the wonk but it was the only way to get the background to look the right colour,(all to do with lighting apparently!!!!) i will be back in a while with card number 2.

new challenge blog (by the cute and girly)

one of my blogging buddies jane (jem's crafting blog) is starting a new challenge blog and i just want to support her all i can. i love a challenge so i will definately be taking part. she hopes to have it up and running next month. i wish her every success and i am sure we will all have fun playing along. i will be back later with more cards (i hope!!) x

a spoonfull of sugar # 68 and creative inspirations lilac/purple and grey

another card from me tonight and this time i have combined it for 2 challenges, the first is the sketch which is the challenge on a spoonfull of sugar and the colour scheme is the theme set on creative inspirations. i have used a combination of stamps, the witch, pumpkin, ghosts, bats and web are from penny black at the glitter pot called 'trick or treat' and the broomstick and sentement are from a set that i have had for ages. the papers are basic grey i have used a mixture of h20's and stardust pens to colour it all in. thankyou for all your kind wishes my head ache has finally gone so i am feeling much better. x

sketch saturday dt call (peace on earth)

sketch saturday are asking for design team members so after a lot of humming and arhhhing i have decided to put this card forward for a chance to become a 'd t m'. i have used a mixture of papers and the stamp is a penny black called 'a wish for all time from the glitter pot. i have used a martha stewart punch for the detail at the bottom, the velvet ribbon is from my stash and i printed the sentement on my computer. i think it has turned out ok so fingers crossed. thanks for dropping in x

sketch saturday # 67

what a rotten day today has been i have had the headache from hell and it just won't shift, i have taken so many pain killers it is a wonder i haven't overdosed!!!! one of the girls at work asked for a card for her little boy to give his grandad for his birthday friday so i had to get it done tonight. the sketch is the challenge set on sketch saturday, the image is a joanna sheen that my friend stamped and gave to me. for the background paper i stamped 'i love my grandad' with versamark and then used clear embossing powder and heated it. the rest is from my stash. i am off to bed now see you tomorrow and thanks for dropping in x

just magnolia # 21

i have managed to get another card finished tonight and it is for the challenge on just magnolia which this week is a sketch by mina. i love the magnolia stamps and even though summer is coming to an end i just had to use these stamps. the stamps are called 'pier background scene and boat tilda(sailor)' from sir stampalot papers are from my stash. i really must call it a night now, i am really tired, school has started with a BANG!!!!!! thanks for popping in see you tomorrow x

well what a rotten day today!!!! i was planning on taking george and sophie to barleylands today as it is the last day of freedom for me and it has been raining all day so that was a non starter!!!! went to funky monkeys instead and they had a great time. finally got a card made tonight, this week has flown by and i have been busy getting sorted for school. this card is for the sketch saturday challenge, i have used a penny black stamp called 'best buddies' from the glitter pot and i think it sooooo cute. the rest is from my goodies. i had better get an earlier night as i have a busy first day tomorrow (i don't want to go back i love being at home but then i wouldn't be able to buy more crafty stuff ) see you all soon ta for dropping in x

papertake weekly challenge sketch # 22

this card is very different than my usual style. the stamps are both from clarity stamps and i watched barbara on create and craft a few weeks ago and she was demonstrating these stamps and i remembered that i bought them at ally pally a while ago so i thought i would have a go. i used chalk eyes to stamp the images and then used a water brush to blend them in. then i sponged the background colours. i am quite pleased with the end result. the sketch is this weeks challenge on papertake weekly . the simplicity of the design works really well with these stamps. i hope you have had a good day and ta for taking a look at my blog x

at last i have been able to get some crafting done, elle sat and watched me make this card. she chose the colours and she seems to have made a good set of choices. they are in bed now so i can relax and unwind and finish off some more creations. this card is for the spoonfull of sugar chellenge which this week is the sketch, and an unusual one it is too. the stamp is a sugar nellie called 'jingle bells'. all the rest is from my stash of goodies. thanks for dropping by x

my second card today is for the challenge on allsorts and this week it is a sketch. i have used a different colour scheme to the 'normal' christmas colours and i just love it. the stamp is from sugar nellie called ' snowflake'. the card stock is from the whitewash range and looks great when torn. the pink snowflake paper is new but i can't remember where i got it from!! the jewel breads a gems are from my stash. happy crafting and i will see you soon x

sketch saturday # 65

good morning i hope you are all feeling bright and breezy today. i am very happy this morning, i went into school yesterday for year 11 results and i am so proud of my boys that i worked really hard with, they got great results and and are going on to do what they were hoping to do. so well done to them. i will miss them, i get quite attached to them and it takes me a while to readjust. my french department also got 91% passes so we are really pleased. well back to crafting, i am making the most of my last few days off so i hope to get quite a bit done. the first card today is for the challenge on sketch saturday, and once again i am christmas carding it.the stamp is a penny black from the t for transparency set 'holly jolly'. the colours are some of my favourites. the rest of the card is made up from my stash of goodies. ta for dropping by x

hello peeps i am back from my hols in devon with the family and apart from the weather it was great!! i am tired though as there is not much relaxation when there are 6 kids running around. well i couldn't wait to get back to my crafting and the frist card is for the challenge set on friday sketchers. i am getting back to my christmas cards and this stamp is an old favourite, i have used my cricut to do the 'merry' everything else is from my craft stash. i hope you are all well and thanks for dropping by. happy crafting x

another card from me this morning and this time i have combined it for two challenges. it is my daughter's birthday the day we come home from holiday so i am taking her cards and pressies with us, this is for her from jacob. the sketch is for the challenge on sketch saturday and the challenge on creative inspirations is tags. the stamp is a gorjuss girl from sugar nellie at funky kits called 'little star'. i have used 3 hat pins for the beads and stamped 3 roses for embellishments, not sure about the papers. it is finished off with a sentiment printed on the computer. happy crafting and thanks for looking in x

penny black week 61

morning, hope you are feeling on top of the world today. lots to do here but still got time to make cards!!! probably make today the last day though got to start packing and stuff tomorrow. my first card is for the penny black challenge which this week is a sketch. the stamp i have used is called 'white slopes',from the glitter pot, everything else is from my stash. i didn't realise how many papers i had left over from last year, but i have still bought more..... ta for dropping in x

friday sketchers # 64

morning peeps, finally i am able to post a card!!!! i have got so much to do, we go on our 'epic' holiday on saturday and keeping up with all my sons laundry is a major chore in itself. anyway i am winning(never a truer word said in jest!!) i am still ploughing on with my christamas cards, my friend likes more traditional stuff so i am getting as many of them done first so i can do my cutie ones later. this one is from the sketch set on friday sketchers and i really love this one. the stamp is from stamp addicts and i have used now for a few years. the ribbon looks a bit wonky but i hope it is just the way it has threaded. papers and beads all from my stash. i am going to the docs with george today, he has to have an injection as he starts 'big' school in sept. just magnolia week 17

my second posting tonight is for the challenge on just magnolia which is a sketch by martine. i have used my new tilda stamp from sir stampalot called 'tilda with bike'. i am giving this card to a really great friend who is celebrating her birthday this week in turkey (lucky girl!!) so i will make sure she gets it when she comes home. thanks for taking a peek, x happy crafting. x

truly scrumptious challenge # 13

good evening to you all, have had a lovely day today mainly crafting so am a very happy lady. as i am making 2 of all my christmas cards it is taking me longer than usual but i am getting there. this card is for the challenge on truly scrumptious which is a sketch. the stamp is a whipper snapper that i got from ally pally last year. the paper is from my last years collection, i have again shrunk the image to make an embellishment. i like this little penguin he is a cutie. almost finished another card so i will be back soon. ttfn x

stampavie and more challenge # 55 & papertake weekly challenge (4 seasons)

i am really getting into my christmas cards at the moment, want to get a head start as i have so many to make. i am making 2 of each one so it is taking a bit longer than usual. i have combined this one for 2 challenges the first is the sketch for this weeks stampavie and more challenge and the theme on the papertake weekly challenge is 4 seasons. the stamp is a favourite of mine from stampaddicts called ' snowball snowman', i have just cut off his hat. the papers and sentiment i had last year. see you tomorrow, thanks for taking the time to look x
